This course offers an in-depth exploration of the key themes, movements, and voices shaping contemporary photography from the Middle East. Through close examination of cultural, political, and social contexts, students gain a deeper understanding of how artists from the region use photographic practices to challenge assumptions, reclaim narratives, and illuminate complex lived experiences. Two contemporary artists from the Arab region join as guest speakers, offering students direct insight into their creative processes and the evolving photographic landscape.

Course Level / Prerequisite: Open to all skill levels. Students ranging from beginner to experienced will be successful in classes that are Open to All Skill Levels.
