Teen Academy - Photo Finishing With Digital Editing

Photography doesn't end when you click the shutter. We invite teens to take their photography a step further with digital editing in this five-session class. Whether you're interested in learning how to print your work or cultivate a digital portfolio, come explore how to intentionally edit and sequence your images to further your creativity and artistic point of view. From basics like cropping and color temperature to more advanced knowledge like masking and color grading, build on your digital processing skills in this technical course.

Course Level/Prerequisite: Open to all skill levels. No prior photography experience is needed for these foundation courses.

Note: Students will need some existing photographic work to bring in for this class.

Program Description: ICP’s Teen Academy program welcomes teenagers ages 14–19 from across the country and around the world to develop their skills as leaders and visual storytellers in a range of in-person and online classes. All curricula are youth-centered and include: photographic and writing assignments, open lab time, visual presentations, discussions, critiques, a guest artist visit, a field trip, and a culminating presentation for family and friends celebrating the students’ achievements.
