Urban Stories: People and Places of NYC

TNew York provides a diverse, exciting, and limitless array of subjects that can be depicted in various styles. Participants in this weeklong workshop learn to create photographs that encapsulate the essence of their subjects, whether animate, inanimate, or environmental. We cover lighting with natural light and flash, portrait photography, iconic locations, concept development, and storytelling. We also work with models at Grand Central Terminal and Central Park, explore the Union Square Farmer's Market, visit Times Square, and experience the vibrancy of Coney Island. Students will develop an enhanced awareness of the visual opportunities provided by their surroundings, ranging from the smallest details to broader perspectives. This class aims to strengthen both your technical skills and artistic vision. It is limited to 12 students.

Course Level / Prerequisite: Open to all skill levels. Students ranging from beginner to experienced will be successful in classes that are Open to All Skill Levels.
