This online course offers participants an introduction to the creative potential of photography. We will explore topics such as subject selection, innovative camera angles, the characteristics of light, and the strategic application of color to evoke specific moods. Our class discussions will focus on analyzing photographs from the current ICP museum exhibition. Class exercises will engage students in identifying and dissecting how photographic elements within the images contribute to fundamental concepts and conveyed emotions. By articulating their thoughts about the photographs, students develop skills that enhance their own image-making abilities and deepen their understanding of photography.
Course Level / Prerequisite: Open to all skill levels. Students ranging from beginner to experienced will be successful in classes that are Open to All Skill Levels.
Courses are subject to minimum enrollment. Please register early, within five days of the start-date, to reduce the likelihood of course cancellation and to ensure you receive all course-related materials in time to prepare for class.
