In this online class students have the opportunity to study, analyze and respond to a range of fascinating and notorious historical and contemporary art crimes. Through historical research, object study, class lectures, guest speakers, related films and assigned readings, students investigate specific works with regard to how they speak to the issues of their own times, and expose some of the legal and ethical consequences and paradoxes that have emerged within our visual culture, globalization and political economies.
Prerequisite: Open to All Skill Levels: Students ranging from beginner to experienced will be successful in classes.
