In this class, we will look at the work of three photographers who were known for motion in still photography: Edward Muybridge, Jacques Henri Lartigue, and Masahisha Fukase. We will show step-by-step the basic techniques these photographers employed. Inspired by their work, students create photographs utilizing the basic techniques and create a series of new photographs. Matthew Pillsbury will join the class as a Guest Speaker.
Prerequisite: Open to All Skill Levels: Students ranging from beginner to experienced will be successful in classes.
Note: All camera formats welcome. Class is limited to 12 students

Students can bring 5 to 10 jpegs of photographs in which some type of motion can be seen. These should be sized to no larger than 3000 pixels on long dimension. Or they can show up to 5 small prints - no larger than 11" x 14."
