This class on botanical imagery in photography encourages students to creatively explore new ways of imaging the natural world. The class looks at the fascinating and visually inspiring history of botanicals in painting and photography and discusses various aesthetic approaches to making botanicals. Lessons delve into the technical issues of lighting, composition, focus stacking and other techniques, giving students a firm grounding in how to create their own botanical series. Students work toward developing a portfolio of botanical images based on their specific interests and skills. This course is limited to 12 students.
Course Level / Prerequisite: Open to all skill levels. Students ranging from beginner to experienced will be successful in classes that are Open to All Skill Levels.
