Get ready to dive into the exciting universe of podcasting in this course! We're not just going to learn, we're going to have a blast doing it. Picture this: you'll be joining forces with the multi-talented creative director and podcaster, Idris Talib Solomon, as we embark on a quest to uncover the secrets of podcasting magic. We won't just sit back and listen; we'll explore all the different types of podcasts out there. And guess what? We're going to create our own collaborative podcast—starring you! We're going to cook up a podcast episode about the life and adventures of a teenage photographer living in the heart of the Big Apple, NYC. Hold onto your AirPods because we're going to learn the art of researching our subject and asking important questions. We're not going to settle for any old questions, though; we'll master the art of making every question and answer an informative one. We'll tackle the cool stuff like creating catchy podcast titles, crafting eye-catching cover art, and writing descriptions that slap. And don't worry if you're new to the gear game—we've got your back! We'll cover all the basic equipment and software you need to create your very own podcast, so you'll be up and running like a pro in no time. Get ready to explore, create, and become the podcasting superstar you were born to be. The course will culminate in a final presentation for family and friends to celebrate students’ achievements.

ICP’s Teen Academy program welcomes teenagers ages 14–19 from across the country and around the world to develop their skills as leaders and visual storytellers in a range of in-person and online classes. All curricula are youth-centered and include: photographic and writing assignments, open lab time, visual presentations, discussions, critiques, a guest artist visit, a field trip, and a culminating presentation for family and friends celebrating the students’ achievements.
