Where do creative ideas come from ? What are the strategies and methods for creating conceptual photographs ? Students will learn about the process of creating a conceptual body of images and have the opportunity to present their own ideas and projects and discuss them with the class for their feasibility and interest. We will also look at and dissect the work of 12 photographers who have devoted their careers to making conceptual based imagery and learn about their motivations, inspirations and methods of working.
Course Level / Prerequisite: Intermediate: You are familiar with a camera, whether film or digital. You understand aperture, shutter speed, exposure, white balance, histograms, and how to control focus. You are comfortable editing and processing your images. Courses are subject to minimum enrollment. Please register early, within five days of the start-date, to reduce the likelihood of course cancellation and to ensure you receive all course-related materials in time to prepare for class.
