Timeless Streets: NYC through the Lens

To create street photography that truly resonates, you need a balance of compelling composition, engaging subject matter, and strong narrative. This course is designed for students eager to portray the essence of everyday life: from vibrant urban street scenes to candid portraits. As we walk through the streets of New York City, the class draws inspiration from the work of influential photographers, such as Vivian Maier, Alex Webb, and Helen Levitt, who incorporated unique approaches to depicting life on the streets. Students learn to see the city in new ways, honing the skills needed to document its energy and vibrancy.

Course Level / Prerequisite: Open to all skill levels. Students ranging from beginner to experienced will be successful in classes that are Open to All Skill Levels.
