Taking your Visual Storytelling to the Next Level

Whether you are a practiced street photographer or evolving into your craft as a documentary photographer, this class is for you. In a small, intimate class size, we will delve into each student's current portfolio where individual catered assignments will be given each week to help participants build on, and progress in their visual storytelling. Through independent and group exercises, students will learn how to identify their unique vision, edit and sequence their images, and present their best work for various platforms. This course is limited to 12 students.

Course Level / Prerequisite: Intermediate: You are familiar with a camera, whether film or digital. You understand aperture, shutter speed, exposure, white balance, histograms, and how to control focus. You are comfortable editing and processing your images. You may want to learn how to utilize your camera in a more thoughtful and articulate way, or learn more about lighting or how to utilize theoretical concepts in relation to your portfolio of work.
