Course Code: 24MCEBP200V

Dates: July 11 - August 8, 2024

Course Tuition: $500

Students in this course learn how to distinguish their vision by grouping similar imagery to make a sequence and, ultimately, a book. Cherry-picking your work to find the pieces that make your true intention come alive gives you a better sense of direction and confidence. Further sorting and organizing pictures by theme, design, concept, intuition, juxtaposition, or layout may lead to new ways of seeing all your work. This course guides you to create a book dummy by utilizing sequence, sizing, and design to make your project into a cohesive story. Lectures on storytelling, sequencing, and bookmaking complement the journey. This class is limited to 12 students.

Note: This course is open to beginners, mid-career practitioners, and professionals. All work must be uploaded and shown in Adobe Lightroom Classic, Photo Mechanic, or similar software before we begin. This ensures an even balance in the class. Please use software tutorials as a guide. The more you tech-prep, the more time we have to be creative!

Course Level / Prerequisite: Intermediate Lightroom: You are familiar with Lightroom. You understand the fundamentals of image input and output. You may be interested in developing experience with image adjustments and workflow.

Courses are subject to minimum enrollment. Please register early, within five days of the start-date, to reduce the likelihood of course cancellation and to ensure you receive all course-related materials in time to prepare for class.
