This hands-on course offers an opportunity to learn the practice of layering platinum palladium prints with monochrome gum bichromate watercolor pigments for additional depth, tone, and color. Students delve into the basics of creating digital negatives from digital files or scanned film negatives as well as mixing platinum-palladium chemistry, coating, exposing, and developing prints up to 8x10 in. Additionally, participants discover how to layer color gum pigments on their platinum prints for extra beauty. You leave the course with a solid understanding of the materials and knowledge of the workflow to continue printing on your own. This course is limited to 12 students.Note: Familiarity with Lightroom and Photoshop is necessary for this course.

Course Level / Prerequisite: Open to all skill levels. Students ranging from beginner to experienced will be successful in classes that are Open to All Skill Levels.
