Image transfers can create painterly results reminiscent of the original Polaroid image transfer process made popular in the 1980s and '90s. This workshop covers multiple methods of moving an image from one surface to another. Students learn to print images on specialty inkjet film and transfer them onto paper, fabric, metal, and wood. Digital files from smartphones, DSLR cameras, and/or scans of personal artwork (e.g., paintings) are all perfect for this process. Beginners to professionals leave with new ideas and directions for their photography. Every handmade transfer is one-of-a-kind, making these works unique in this competitive market. This course is limited to 12 students.

Course Level / Prerequisite: Open to all skill levels. Students ranging from beginner to experienced will be successful in classes that are Open to All Skill Levels.

Students are encouraged to review ICP's Classroom Disclaimer for current information regarding COVID-19 policies, classroom guidelines, and more. These policies are subject to change at any time.

Courses are subject to minimum enrollment. Please register early, within five days of the start-date, to reduce the likelihood of course cancellation and to ensure you receive all course-related materials in time to prepare for class. Registration for this course will close one day prior to the start date of the course.
