Elevating Your Family Portraits (Online)

Course Code: 22SCEPO010

Dates: June 15-29, 2022

Meets: W from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM ET

Location: Online Zoom Classroom

Spring Tuition: $310

Students explore creating portraits that are not merely snapshots but are art pieces that convey a family's story. Some family relationships are comfortable, yet others may be more challenging; both dynamics are worth exploring in photographs. Some people need more direction than others and the course offers lessons on cues that can bring out natural reactions and emotions. Part of the thrill of shooting is catching the in-between moments when someone isn't expecting to be photographed, and students will also explore these opportunities. Students learn how to coax out authentic images, seeking to capture the gestures, facial expressions, and body language that reveal a family's essence.

Course Level / Prerequisite: Open to all skill levels. Students ranging from beginner to experienced will be successful in classes that are Open to All Skill Levels.

Courses are subject to minimum enrollment. Please register early, within five days of the start-date, to reduce the likelihood of course cancellation and to ensure you receive all course-related materials in time to prepare for class.
