Students will be assigned shooting assignments each week to build upon craft while also conceptualizing a strong theme. Students also learn post-production techniques to address color, contrast, and mood. In-class lectures address artists and photographers whose practice is often based upon architecture and environment, such as Hiroshi Sugimoto, John Chiara, Richard Pare, Sally Mann, Christopher Payne and An My Le. Christopher Payne will join the class as a guest speaker. This course is limited to 12 students.

Additional note: Students will need to have Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
