Course description: Get ready for your next gig! Have you been making pictures for yourself, family, or friends, and wondering how to break into the professional world of photography? In this intermediate digital photography course, students will learn a variety of advanced technical and practical skills. Students will learn lighting techniques for people and products, as well as the process of being hired for a job from contracts to invoices, and will participate in a professional photo shoot. They will be introduced to various professional roles including Art Directors, Digital Techs, Photo Editors, and Photo Assistants, and how these roles work with photographers to make compelling images and campaigns. Students will learn from professional photographers, an art director, and an editor while taking their own images to the next level. The class culminates with a presentation of photographic projects and writings shared with family and friends.
