Take the time this season to organize your images, strengthen your vision, and share your stories! In this one-week intensive and more advanced digital photography class, students explore workflows for further developing a body of work or portfolio. Through photographic and writing assignments as well as critiques led by faculty and guest artists, teens discuss editing and sequencing their images for online publishing as well as submission to colleges/universities, exhibitions, and awards. Students expand upon ideas of theme, visual narrative, and image consistency and quality. By the end of the course, students will have developed a comprehensive body of work with an accompanying artist’s statement ready to share!
ICP’s Teen Academy program welcomes teenagers ages 14–19 from across the country and around the world to develop their skills as leaders and visual storytellers in a range of online classes. All curricula is youth-centered and includes: photographic and writing assignments, digital open lab time, visual presentations, discussions, critiques, a virtual field trip, a guest artist visit, and a culminating presentation for family and friends celebrating the students’ achievements.
