ICP's B&W Film Photography Intensive is the perfect opportunity for both beginners and experienced digital photographers to immerse themselves in analog photography to explore the magic of darkroom printing. While working in state-of-the-art facilities, students will acquire the required technical knowledge and develop their creativity and printing skills. Through lectures, demonstrations, guided hands-on sessions, assignments, and class discussions in a supportive environment, students learn to effectively operate their film cameras, expose and develop their negatives, apply a wide variety of printing techniques, discover their personal visual styles, and work toward building a cohesive body of work. As they develop their portfolios, students can explore a variety of alternative analog processes and formats offering additional avenues for expanding their artistic practice.
The B&W Film Photography Intensive is an onsite program.
